John P. Baugh
CEO, Executive Software Engineer
Dr. J, as his students call him, is a computer scientist, software engineer, and data scientist, holding B.Sc., M.Sc. and a Ph.D., all in Computer Science from the University of Michigan - Dearborn. He is department chair and full-time instructor at Oakland Community College - OR campus in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He also teaches as Lecturer II at the University of Michigan - Dearborn. Prior to teaching full-time at OCC, he was a full time software engineer in Ann Arbor, MI.
In addition to teaching, clearly, he works on game development projects. He also does consulting professionally, and has consulting for individuals and organizations of all sizes - including work for a contractor to the U.S. Department of Defense. He would tell you what work he did for the DoD but then he'd have to kill you... Just kidding. Maybe.
John enjoys playing Rust, House Flipper, Diablo IV, and many others.
When (if) his schedule clears up a little, John plans to return to formal learning for one or two more master's degrees soon, probably in mathematics or artificial intelligence. Why? Because he's a sick, sick man. That's why.
